Episode 015 - Let's Get Wyrd with Lozzie Stardust

In this special bonus episode originally aired on Patreon, Lozzie Stardust joins me in the virtual studio for a discussion of witchcraft and history surrounding The Scottish Play. You know, Macbeth? (HOT POTATO, OFF HIS DRAWERS, PUCK WILL MAKE AMENDS...ouch!) We give some fun historical context to the story and the witchy goings-on in the play, get off on several tangents, and generally have a rollicking good time. By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes!

Episode 014 - American Druidry with Dana O'Driscoll

This month, I sat down with author, painter, permaculturist, and the head of the Ancient Order of Druids in America, Dana O’Driscoll. We had a lovely chat about druidry, caring for the land, adapting ancient traditions to modern realities, and how to incorporate nature-based spirituality into your everyday life, no matter where you live. (Witness me trying to keep it together through some personal revelations.) Check out Dana’s beautiful hand-painted oracle decks and her forthcoming book, “Sacred Actions: Earth-Centered Sustainable Practices,” and visit her blog and Etsy shop at the links below!

Witch Ways, Ep. 10 - Apple of my Eye

You wanted it, you got it! In this episode of Witch Ways, I'm happy to present "Apple of my Eye," an adaptation of the love spell that I cast for myself some years ago, which lead to a magical meet-cute with the man who would later become my wonderful husband. This spell will be available as part of the Relationships section of The Sisters Grimmoire, Vol. II, and is a special sneak peek at my latest book.

Ep. 013 - Consent and Modern Love Magic

Ep. 013 - Consent and Modern Love Magic

Happy February! Time for overpriced candy, cheesy romantic ads, and a serious talk about modern love magic. Specifically, why consent needs to be a part of it. (And of course, this is not to say that magic which seeks to circumvent or overwhelm free will does not exist or does not work. This is certainly a thing that exists. It’s well-established in quite a few old-world traditions like strega and curandero, among others, and even modern-day witchcraft books talk about persuasion and glamour and command magic. And all this is fine. I just want to be clear that I take personal issue when free will is undermined or ignored in love magic, specifically.)

Thoughtful and inclusive perspective

I appreciate Bree’s thought process and experience on witchcraft, it’s so refreshing when the majority of what I can find is religious(Wicca) and spiritually focused. A smooth and easy to listen to voice is a fab bonus! I also signed up as a patreon, the information covered here is more than worth it! Thanks for creating this secular witchcraft focused space!

Exactly what I needed

As a beginner witch, this is exactly the sort of inspiration I was looking for. As a queer person, I feel included and welcomed. I’ve been listening to and performing the Don Thy Armor meditation most mornings - recently, I’ve been picturing plate armor, but today it was my favorite blanket, and it’s been helping me weather my anxiety. Thank you!!!

So thankful for this show.

I just learned about this show, and I am so glad. So many times I’ve exclaimed, “Yes! Thank you for saying (thing) out loud!” Also enjoy the practical approach to the Craft.
