The Risen Fallen Podcast

Mark Henriksen

We ALL fall down, together we rise. Whether you’re going through dark days, or have dealt with them in the past, or perhaps maybe they have impacted someone you love, we have all been impacted by mental health struggles in some way, shape or form. No matter what it is that you are going through, life can and will get better for you. We have all felt that same feeling of being alone in this world, when the lights are all out, and nobody else is awake and all we have is the voice in our head. The feeling that even with our friends, family, coworkers, teammates, bosses, coaches, and peers around us, that we are alone in this fight, and in this world. THAT SPECIFIC FEELING IS WHAT CONNECTS US ALL. We are together alone. Not only will it get “better” but I truly believe you can find the greatness that resides within you, and that you’ll spread it to others as well. I find it interesting to speak with business owners, hard workers, and inspiring people about the challenges they have faced and how they‘ve overcome them. Based out of Vancouver, I find it important to speak about some of the difficult things in life, and to encourage others to feel happier and spread the love!

    Anthony Dyer | Ep. #189

In this episode, we bring you Anthony Dyer, a retired U.S. Air Force Special Missions Aviator, veteran, author, and mental health advocate whose story is as powerful as the missions he flew. Over 21 years of service, Anthony operated in some of the most intense arenas of modern warfare — flying AC-130 gunships, Pave Hawk rescue helicopters, and completing 200+ combat missions with more than 2,700 flight hours to his name. His courage and commitment earned him the Air Force’s Jolly Green Rescue Mission of the Year, one of the highest honors for combat search-and-rescue personnel. But Anthony’s journey didn’t stop when his uniform came off. Today he’s a voice for veterans, families, and anyone wrestling with trauma, identity loss, addiction, or the search for purpose after life-altering experiences. Through honesty and reflection, he challenges the stigma around mental health — especially in communities that have long been told to “stay strong” at all costs. 📚 His book, Moonchild: The Roots and Wings of a USAF Combat Special Missions Aviator, distills a lifetime of service and struggle into a narrative that is both vivid and deeply human. Written not just for veterans, but for anyone who’s ever wondered how to find meaning after loss, Moonchild shows that resilience doesn’t come from denial — it comes from facing what hurts us most. It’s available now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other major booksellers. 💡 Why You Should Listen: If you’re drawn to stories of courage under pressure, grappling with trauma in silence, and transforming pain into purpose, this episode cuts straight to the heart of what it means to rebuild your identity after service — or after any major life transition. Anthony’s perspective blends military precision, personal vulnerability, and practical insight into healing, making this conversation both inspiring and deeply relevant for veterans, caregivers, and anyone seeking resilience. 👉 Tune in to learn from a man who has lived extreme heights and depths — and now uses his voice to help others find their own way forward.   If you liked the show, help it grow!   Leave a review and rate 5 stars on Apple Podcast, and Spotify! 3   Reach out on Instagram: @RisenFallen   Check out my website: www.risenfallen.com
