I could even do this to become well-known and famous in certain circles. But, if you know me, you know that was never going to excite me much.Not that there's anything wrong with making a bunch of cash... I've just always seen that as a by-product of doing great work (not the point of the work). As for fame... I'm too much of an introvert to care about that. No, what I get really excited about (like nerd level 🤓 excited) is giving people practical tools and strategies that make them more successful, impactful and fulfilled. So I thought to myself "how cool would it be if this podcast was just about sharing some of the most life-changing keys, strategies and advice that I've ever learnt. Just me, a microphone and content that has the potential to change someones life." The nerd in me started to light up like a Christmas tree. Then, just before the release, a friend of mine chimed in and said "Ben, you should have some worksheets or something to walk us through the tools and strategies!" And, I really liked that idea.     Stay Out Of The Drama Triangle.

    All forms of success & fulfilment involve other people. Just like the saying "Where there's smoke, there's fire" where there's people there is often drama. 
     
    The drama triangle is a really powerful model that helps you understand people and yourself. If you lead a team, have to manage clients or want to maximise your own mindset then this is an episode you’ll want to revisit and listen to again and again.
    The drama triangle is a model with 3 positions. Imagine a triangle and at the top there is the role of PERSECUTOR or BULLY. Moving to the lower right of the triangle we have the position of the VICTIM. Finally, as we move to the lower left, we have the role of the RESCUER.
    It’s a triangle with THE PERSECUTOR, THE VICTIM & THE RESCUER. 
    If you can understand the roles that people play (including yourself) and you can learn to eject yourself from the drama triangle, then you’re going feel incredibly free, incredibly empowered and you’ll actually be able to help and lead people a million times better.

    Stress creates a ceiling on how far you can go and how much impact you have.
    As a high-performer, you will face stressful and challenging situations over and over again. Your ability to remain calm, clear minded and focus on solutions is going to determine how successful you are. 
    As you’ll hear, I have the viewpoint that stress is something that can be mastered. I totally disagree with the idea that stress is just a normal part of everyday life and there’s nothing you can do about it. Yes, there's going to be challenges and set backs but what I’ve found for my self, and proven with others, is that no matter how difficult the situation there's always a way to  develop yourself to be more resilient and stay calm, clear and in control. 
    When it comes to stress, this is our goal. Always be growing and developing our ability to handle what comes our way. When stress genuinely hits us (and it will), implement the right tools and tactics to meet the challenge head on and overcome it. We want the things that stress you out today to not even budge you in the future.
    This will allow you to the go further, faster and tackle bigger goals and have a great impact.
