A sociological study of social and emotional learning (SEL). Pivotally, SEL skills are set by the time one leaves high school. Each season focuses on a selection of ten questions that dissect various parts of SEL maturation in the time period of high school. No names of schools or people are used. Guests are from all over the country. Let’s study if our students are getting what they need, aside from academics, upon leaving the K-12 system to be able to function IRL (in real life). Books belong everywhere, we see others that don't reflect ourselves in books, we also see ourselves in books. When books are limited or taken out of libraries we are making the world smaller - not bigger. READ ALL THE BOOKS. Get multiple perspectives on ideas, experience things that are outside your bubble. 📚 Also on the b part of this episode we talk about mental health. Everybody should be taking care of their brain. So I'm going to help you do that in a small way. I've introduced a mindfulness component into the end of each episode from here on out!

Cause our teachers need those services too! Mental health is one of the most underserved areas in education. When it does serve, it generally focus on the students, which is needed.
