#204. The Mother’s Day Club We Didn’t Sign Up For

In this episode, I sit down with one of my best friends and a fellow podcast host, Brenda Jasmin, the host of the She Flourishes Podcast. Brenda and I unfortunately are in a club together that we didn’t choose to be in. It’s the club of not having our Moms around in our human life anymore. And as we approach Mother’s Day, this is something we like to do together, which is open up the conversation around grief especially for those of us whose Moms have passed. Both of us grew up in a world where suppressing these feelings was what was the norm. Together, we want people to openly speak about their loved ones who have passed, work on processing the grief in their own way, and keep the spirits of their loved ones alive in their hearts and everyday life. Our hope is that this conversation that Brenda and I have together allows you to process your own emotions and maybe gives you hope on the years to come without your Mom in your human life. And if you have a friend who you think could use this episode, please do share it with them. Remember, it’s okay to feel sad, even 35 years later. And it’s definitely okay to cry!
