    EP.23 You become the person you want to be by going beyond where you’ve stopped at before

    You know that feeling you have that tells you you can’t do something - how true it feels and how concrete. Only when you dismantle it, when you push past it do you realise just how little weight it holds - just how false it really is. That’s one of the most important ways you love yourself - by choosing to do the one thing you can’t do but have always wanted to do - and realising that your limits were never fixed the way you imagine them to be. So I hope this inspires you to know just how much is possible for you, just how you can do everything you think you can’t do and just how much you deserve to credit yourself for all of it. There are so many ways you’ve already become the person you always wanted to be and you’ve barely noticed it !! So I’ve written a book all about this coming out very soon - I wanted it to give you the same feeling where everything is possible! The throughline of every conversation I had while I was there that made me realise we all have so much more in common than we would ever expect. Even with different languages, different cultures, different contexts, different cities, I still found so much resonance with strangers who became friends, and with random interactions that taught me everything I needed to know that I can share with you. Beyond his remarkable career including being CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) for Mindtree and Infosys, he worked as VP of Enterprise Marketing at Dell, HP and Compaq, making brand decisions at critical junctures in line with the digital transformation that was happening around the world at that time. I loved hearing about what it was like to handle such immense and exciting pressure on a national level in the sporting world but also how he applied all the skills he honed as a teacher and speaker, navigating a life-changing diagnosis. Ella-Grace is a force of good in her social impact work with Streetwise and in encouraging people from all backgrounds to believe in themselves to know that no matter the circumstance or adversity, you can reclaim your life and achieve everything you set out to.     We so often share our self-doubt once we have overcome it, but on the way to our dreams we find ourselves facing exposure to everything we have held off into the future. I was so inspired by “The World of Creatives” on YouTube and his new approach to idea generation that I had to create this podcast to share the combination of experiences I’ve been having recently in my own life and empowering perspectives on what it takes to overcome yourself that we don’t talk about enough. It’s always worth it but it does take showing up as the highest and fullest expression of who you are and who you are becoming.
