Raven 5 - So Shall Ye Reap
Quack quack- the Rewatchers are back! Amanda reconnects with her old friend/maybe lover/worst dancing partner to help him solve his son's murder at the hands of crooked government agents (and a ham and shrimp sandwich). The Rewatchers give you a play-by-play on some reused footage, discuss an evil window washer, and wish for a more character-driven story.
-
Raven 4 - Immunity
When Nick somehow gets himself wrapped up in international espionage, he must team up with Amanda to break into the Romanian embassy before the ambassador (who happens to be Bert’s ex?!?) can flee the country with stolen plans for… something. Meanwhile, in the B plot, Amanda kills an immortal statistician off-camera, after doggedly refusing to learn any lessons or grow in any meaningful way. The Rewatchers ponder the origins of Latin music in this show, enjoy some classic 90’s computer nonsense, and try to figure out why Bert is the most powerful man in Searonto.
-
Raven 3 - Bloodlines
Searonto is once again terrorized by dweeby old assassins, so Nick must stop an(other) immortal killer by stumbling through an(other) non-mysterious mystery! When Amanda seemingly ignores an old friend’s century long killing spree, Nick takes matters into his own hands and somehow things work out. The Rewatchers fail to keep it short, succeed in identifying Chekhov‘s taser, and attempt to rewrite the motivation for our entirely too evil villain.
-
Raven 2 - Full Disclosure
When Nick sets his sights on Super Mario, an international assassin turned immortal celebrity chef, Amanda must decide whether to confront the evil pasta peddler or leave Nick to an unsavory fate. The Rewatchers try to figure out a Native American subplot, wonder why Mario subcontracts all his hits, and literally yell about the plot holes in this episode.

Mac courts one of his trademark moral conundrums when his friend Ingrid, haunted by her failure to kill an overwrought Hitler with a penchant for hiding in shrubbery, arrives in Seacouver determined to kill an ascendant white supremacist at any cost. The Rewatchers take a deep dive into an ethical quagmire, learn the history of boxing rules, and crown the “best cop in Highlander.”

Amazing
These guys really get into it and it’s hilarious and informative. The Raven episodes aren’t so good, Eamon isn’t even there and Keith seems to genuinely hate that series 😂 but all the other episodes and movie reviews are incredible, Keith, Kyle and Eamon do an incredible job and I feel like we’re friends after listening.
Great show!
If you are interested in unpacking the crazy and wonderful world of Highlander this show is for you. They go into excruciating detail analyzing every detail of every aspect of all things Highlander.
My only complaint is that in the newer episodes it seems as though one of the hosts, Amon, isn’t drinking during recording, and the show suffers for it.
This podcast is better Highlander content then most of the movies and some of the tv show. So don’t miss out, check out this podcast now!
Raised in a Highlander household.
I grew up watching Highlander with my father. We watched the show on cable and the first 3 movies were the first R rated movies I got to see. We got catalogs and vhs tapes, then later the dvds. My dad as a landlord accepted a replica of McCloud’s sword in lieu of rent which is one of my favorite stories of my dad. This podcast is an enthusiastic, funny, critical and through examination of the Highlander franchise. The podcast talks not just about the films and television but about the fandom and creation. I’m on season 3 right now and I look forward to getting caught up and maybe listening to The Raven along with the show.
