Firstly, I want to express gratitude for the time and effort that the Revzilla team puts into Highside/Lowside, my favorite podcast. I recently returned to riding following a 25+ year break after selling my first bike, a 1993 BMW K75S when I left the USMC in 1999. My uncle is responsible for getting me on a motorcycle initially and with this recent return. I’m very fortunate to have purchased my dream bike in the summer of 2024, a 2023 Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR, and I’m well aware of my limitations every time I throw a leg over such a powerful machine. My uncle continues to influence my riding, as he recently introduced me to dirt and gave me his WR250R to work on my off-road skills. I look forward to listening to Zach and Spurge every couple weeks, and I enjoy the variety of guests and contributors. I’m happy to hear Zach is healing and I wish him all the best as he eventually returns to riding. A quick note of constructive criticism if I may….I think the podcast would be better served by Spurge using the phrase “the audience” MUCH less. I enjoy the banter Spurge and Zach have, and it feels like I am privy to an informed discussion on motorcycles amongst friends. I appreciate Spurge’s frequent attempts to slow things down and explain details on terminology or situations that may be unfamiliar to newer riders, but constantly referring to “the audience” starts to make the podcast feel less like a discussion and more like a production. Perhaps mixing it up with “listeners”, or “fellow riders” etc might help, but I think you can slow things down without having to explain that it’s for the benefit of those listening (because it’s implied) and it might make for a more efficient experience. Again thank you for all that you guys do.
