I am wrestling with these issues with 3 of my 4 adult (one almost an adult) kids. Wrestling is too strong, but grappling/understanding how to think about this. We’ve had this discussion for about 10 years. Butterfield’s book was eye opening and challenging, but finding a way to discuss this and meet with others over this is a challenge, too. Pete so adeptly expresses my heart on this. All 4 of my kids have very close and dear friends who are homosexual, bisexual, gender confused/trans, asexual. A good many of those friends were raised in Christian homes, private/public/homeschooled. Sadly , we are a feeling driven society, but we also cannot neglect to address these feelings. WWJD is needed more now than ever, but not seen from a western religious perspective, but a love/grace/mercy/justice heavenly perspective. Rambling, but just moved and so glad to have “happened” upon this series.
