Jesus Honors Righteous Prayer
Lesson #2 in this prayer set is called Jesus Honors Righteous Prayer. In contrast, he calls out and condemns unrighteous prayer. The good news is Jesus wants to make a way for us to be with the Father. He not only gave us a model of how to pray -- as the adopted sons and daughters that we are -- but he also takes to task things like “showy” or “religious” activities that are antithetical to the true relationship and closeness we can have with our Father in Heaven.

The Four Gardens
Who doesn't love a well cared for garden right? Gardens are incredibly therapeutic. They are incredibly therapeutic. As we look to scripture, we see there is a theme of at least 4 fascinating garden scenes. John has studied these 4 places of beauty, and has pulled out the Gospel good news from each of them. For instance, we have the iconic Garden of Eden that was meant to be a place of sweet fellowship with God, and in the New Testament, we have to the Garden of Gethsamane where Jesus pleaded with his Father. There’s so much to these significant places of cultivation and growth.

Pray this way: The divine pattern of righteous prayer
Some of the most foundational messages we have in our library is a series called Pray This Way: The Divine Pattern of Righteous Prayer. See, you are not alone of you think your prayer is not effective if it’s not filled with flowery language or complicated arguments to sway God. As I like to say, Jesus knows. In fact, He put those concerns to rest by giving his Disciples and followers a memorable pattern to follow. Let’s start with message #1 called The Gospel Makes Prayer Possible.

Thankful
Looking forward to this podcast series. From years of pietism into a more True Gospel centered life, but still have so very much to learn. Im thankful for the teachers I believe Jesus has brought into my life . Jon Fonville of Paramount Church is one of those teachers. He teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ like I’ve never been taught in my 30+ yrs as a Christian. I grieve the yrs I was lost in moralistic pietism but at the same time im grateful for my Good Shepherd leading me to the green pastures and still waters of the Good News. Have so much to learn about this glorious Gospel May Jesus be praised!!!

Morning Podcast
I love listening to these sermons with my son every morning. It is so refreshing to my heart! Dr. Fonville’s preaching has been a balm to my soul through some of the hardest times of mine & my husband’s lives. The law-Gospel distinction that he preaches is good news for the sinful soul, knowing that our only hope is to cling to the sufficiency of the risen Christ! Thank you!!!
