    When He Looks At You

    God loves you because He is love, not because you are so lovely. If you believe God's goodness to you is based on your goodness or your works, then you don't understand Who God is, and you will never really understand what He's done for you that you had nothing to do with.     SPECIAL: Teaching of the Month; February 8, 2026: “Your Heart” (40:29)

    SOMETHING SPECIAL!  In addition to the regular His Word podcasts, which are all under 5 minutes, His Word Podcast will begin posting a “Teaching of the Month;” a full length teaching from our Westbrook Sunday morning fellowship. This month’s teaching is from February 8, 2026, entitled, “Your Heart” (45:52) This morning we considered three things in our past that we should forget. When those thoughts do come up, it is not only very beneficial to us to dismiss those thoughts, but it can be life changing! The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3, “... this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before…”  There are things behind us, in our past, that are very worthy of remembering – God’s blessings!  God said in Psalm 103 to not forget all His benefits. But there are things in our past that are neither worthy nor helpful in thinking about.We all have free will to think any thought we want to think.
