Cancel culture is rampant in ttrpg realm because of it is rooted in online social media in order for it to thrive. You did nothing wrong by interviewing this person and nothing I heard in the episode contained objectionable content. I was happy to hear some of your guests pushing back against cancel culture especially in the case of Zak. You will find in the future that you can’t win with these people. They need someone to scapegoat and crusade against. Go look on the message boards of the gauntlet and how they are consuming themselves trying to shame Jadon Cordova. This is not the way to go Hobbs. You gave in, and for months instead of ignoring it, vented about it online. I can’t live your life or know your friends but I know my friends would never disassociate with me for talking to someone they didn’t like or had political beef with. The social justice court is one of the most dangerous things to come from the hateful interactions on social media. It threatens free speech and circumvents our court of law. I hope things work out for you but I’m disappointed you caved to weak minded people.
