Delay in arresting Minneapolis cops
I understand the frustration, anger, questions surrounding the delay in arresting the 4 cops who killed or abetted in the killing of George Floyd. The Minneapolis police have a union contract, not unlike most major cities in the U.S. One issue that will come up in trials or sentencing is that of due process, according to that contract. I am not condoning what happened, or didn’t. But police unions and contracts, as well as precedent and Supreme Court cases, are huge barriers to doing anything to police who kill or use violent tactics. We aren’t just dealing with police, but also with the legal and judicial players.
Wonderful Conversations
Love checking in with Jonathan and Tara once a week. Love hearing their conversations with their friends and fellow Hollywood types. It’s a really nice break from all the doom and gloom in the world these days. Thank you both so much for toughing it out and offering us a beacon in these dark days!
Something valuable on each show
Actors speaking with other actors & directors may sound Blah in these times but the conversations are interesting, deep, a little political and I get a nugget of something useful for my life in every episode.
