Customer Reviews
Highly recommend
Lots of mainstream teaching today focuses on the emotionality of a text, and while emotions are important, congregations and fellow Christians alike are not being fed richer foods that enable us to understand the context of Scripture and what it meant to original audiences, and it’s implications for us today. Tyler does an admirable job of teaching well-known texts in a way that gets listeners to think critically about the message even if we may have heard the story a hundred times. Praise God for the way He has gifted Tyler not just with teaching, but with a heart for sharing the Good News of the kingdom: that “our God reigns!”
Text to Context
While it’s true that you can read the Bible (especially the gospel accounts onward) and get good things out of it, this podcast provides the context that brings clarity to the full narrative. Tyler does a great job explaining the Text in its historical and Jewish context that makes it, and Jesus, more relatable and dynamic. Can’t wait for more!
