    John Schlitt was born in Lincoln, Illinois, and soon after moved with his family to nearby Mt. Pulaski, the town where he grew up and first discovered his love for music. By age 13 he had already joined his first band—Vinegar Hills Hometown Band Something Different—showing the passion and talent that would shape his future. He graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1968, and it was during those formative years that he met his future wife, Dorla Froelich. But John’s story is far more than a timeline of musical milestones. At its core, it is a powerful story of forgiveness—of God’s grace reaching into a life marked by struggle, of restoration where brokenness once lived, and of a man transformed so he could use his gifts for a higher purpose.     Jannah Scott brings more than 35 years of experience serving at the intersection of government, faith, and the nonprofit community. She has held numerous leadership roles over the decades, always with a focus on strengthening communities and supporting those who serve. In March 2009, she joined President Obama’s administration as Deputy Director of the Center for Faith‑Based and Neighborhood Partnerships within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
