Beyond the Veil Series: The Wandering Spirit of Hastings, Nebraska

Welcome to Hometown Paranormal where everything is fake and nothing is real, but every hometown gets its own paranormal story.   My name is Kristin Kozlowski, and I’m the creator of this podcast. For every episode, I will make up a strange, paranormal story set in an actual place and tell it to you. In the Beyond the Veil series, I allow a peak behind the veil and talk about the creation and inspiration behind an episode. Today, to celebrate Halloween 2024, I will share a personal ghost story with you, as well as talk about the real-life experiences of mine that led me to write the story: The Wandering Spirit of Hastings, Nebraska, Season 1, Episode 8. If you want to binge all of the ghost stories that I've told on this podcast, here is a list of the episodes: The Hero of the Ozarks The Wandering Spirit of Hastings, Nebraska The Laughter of Ellsworth, Maine The Cross of Houston, Texas The Shadow in Dubuque, Iowa The Burning House of Toledo, Ohio The Empty Lot of Gorham, Maine If you liked this story, please subscribe to Hometown Paranormal, and leave a review wherever you listen. The Empty Lot in Gorham, Maine

Welcome to Hometown Paranormal, where  everything is fake and nothing is real, but every hometown gets its own paranormal story. In this episode, Leslie Bishop, her two cousins, and her twin brothers have made a big mistake. Instead of staying at home playing board games on Saturday night while their parents go out to dinner, they venture to the corner of their neighborhood to play on the empty lot, and they stay later than they should. Realizing their mistake, they try to rush home before their parents come home and realize they've broken the rules. But something -- or someone -- on the empty lot doesn't want the kids to leave. And it will do anything to keep them there. If you liked this story, please subscribe to Hometown Paranormal, and leave a review wherever you listen. And if you'd like your town featured on an episode, please send a message on Instagram to @hometown.paranormal (that's hometown(dot)paranormal), or on Twitter to @HTParanormal.
