Love this mother/daughter duo! We need an episode with all of Carol’s hosting tips for the 4th of July.

The not-so-subtle shade towards anyone of a different political party, the constant checking oneself out in the camera, the making fun of/criticizing Carol and their spouses, the entitlement and brand name dropping…feels so sad and yikes. I used to really enjoy listening, but it feels like they’re trying make this a Big Deal Podcast and have really lost the original depth and authenticity that made this podcast so sweet. I loved when Katy shared authentically about pregnancy and PP and feels like the values of the pod have changed.

An updated review. I normally really love you guys, and I will still keep listening, BUT three things really upset me in this latest episode. Firstly, I think Katy telling your mom she has short stubby legs was so unnecessary. And I’m only a few years older than you so I’m not somebody really Old who’s making this comment, I would never say something like that to my mother on air or ever. Meanwhile, she does nothing but praise you. Then, the way you opened that podcast talking about your dog and how you want to give your dog away and complaining, etc. that made me so angry. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when people get a dog during Covid and then they can’t handle having the dog. Your life is too busy. It’s not your dog’s fault, that’s why you get stressed out, it’s not just because you have a baby and no most people do not feel like you after they have a baby to their animal that they love. Because of the way you described it, now I’m picturing: are you giving your dog an attitude all the time? Are you yelling at your dog, that’s how you made it sound and I did not appreciate that at all as an animal lover. Lastly, the Charlie Kirk talk… it greatly upset me that you didn’t want to talk about it and your mother had to bring it up. If it was a liberal that this happened to you you would most certainly be talking about it. It was a terrible disgusting thing that happened, you did say that violence should never be the answer, but you also didn’t seem to care that much. And your mother was right, there were a lot of of us, myself included, who have big dreams and always had big dreams and we couldn’t necessarily achieve them because we didn’t have the Financial back up/help that you had to get started. You honestly sound quite privileged. I’m truly upset, my first review for you guys was wonderful, and I still like you and I will still listen, but this episode was not it. Especially after a national tragedy. He did nothing wrong to deserve being assassinated.

Have been binging the whole catalogue and just adore listening to you both! Perfect comfort podcast, with equal parts laughter and life advice—both mom and daughter have such valuable perspectives to share, and it’s just so fun to hear the genuine love and friendship you two have together! My only small thing is I wish Katy would ease up a little on poking fun at Carol about words/phrases she uses, or how she pronounces things. Of course there’ll be some playful banter but feels like it just happens so often and kind of brings the conversation to a halt every time before moving on. (But we know it all has an undercurrent of love and closeness! Just as a listener it sometimes detracts from what Carol has to say.)
