As I have started this podcast journey, I’ve been reading clinical newsletters and blogs that have triggered memories I hadn't thought about in years. I’m sharing a specific memory of carrying tension as an elementary school child. At the time, a doctor dismissed it as tension pain, but reading research has me wondering if that was the early start of a survival mode mindset. While my years in the healthcare field and repetitive motions at work certainly played a role in my nerve compression, I am looking at how internal tension could also be a factor. We are exploring the "Body Armor" we might be carrying and how that constant clenching could be putting pressure on our temples and our peace. 📍 IN THIS EPISODE, WE DISCUSS: The Body Armor Concept: How carrying internal tension might manifest as physical clenching and chronic discomfort over time. These are conversations over coffee or wine, or whatever you like to pull up with in this space. I’m M. Rochelle, and today we are doing things a little differently. After reviewing our first few conversations, I noticed a lot of gems that I left out or didn't close off. One of the challenges of being raw and uncut is that my heart often flows faster than my mind can keep up with. I prefer to break the rules and do things my way because that is where the authenticity lives, but excellence requires that we don't build on a shaky foundation. In this episode, we are running it back to conduct a Foundation Audit. I’m bringing clarity to the origins of Honoring M.E. (My Evolution), sharing some "late" realizations about my own history, and being transparent about the bi-weekly schedule we are moving into to keep our excellence high. Welcome back to The Grace Haven for another conversation about Honoring M.E. (My Evolution). In this episode, we are defining the 15-Minute Firewall. I am sharing my personal journey with nerve compression and carpal tunnel, a battle I have been fighting since 1999, and how that physical pain finally forced me to get quiet enough to hear the truth. I realized I had reached a blessed age and yet, I hadn't truly lived. I was just a robot in a daily routine of "have-to's." We are talking about taking back the things the enemy came to kill, steal, and destroy. Whether it is starting that business, getting back to school, or simply finding the time to breathe, you owe it to yourself to step off the treadmill. 📍 IN THIS EPISODE, WE DISCUSS: The 15-Minute Firewall: Why taking a minimum of 15 minutes a day is a healthy alternative to keep yourself from "poppin' off" and an easy way to get recentered.     Episode 01: The Robot & The Reality: Indicators of the Survival Loop

I’m rolling with a grapefruit tangerine margarita mix today: no tequila, just the vibes. In this episode, we are digging into the receipts. I asked Google a simple question: What are the indicators of survival mode? I wanted to see if the things I’ve felt in my own life matched the data. Real talk: the list was a mirror. I’m sharing my own "Aha!" moments: from the physical muscle tension that had my nail tech telling me to relax my eyebrows, to the mental fog that had me present in body but completely absent in memory. We’re talking about what it means to be a "recovering survival mode Queen" and why we have to recognize the loop before we can exit it. 📍 IN THIS EPISODE, WE DISCUSS: Moving out of Desperation: Why doing things because you "have to" drains your battery and kills your joy. I’m done with the "staged" and "polished" versions of life that we see everywhere else. If the fillers or the "umms" make you cringe, that’s fine, as long as the message hits your spirit. This episode is the foundation. I’m sharing the "Aha!" moment I had at almost 50, realizing that I had spent decades in survival mode.
