Great delivery of perspectives and life’s unspoken context clues

I appreciate the author’s ability to openly convey his experiences and feelings as he gives a vivid account of he and his father’s interactions from his early years then fast forward to present day. I never understood how people raised during the Jim Crow era cooped with all the injustices that occurred and the domino effect of such actions onto their children. I enjoyed the teamwork that developed as they both helped each other to heal from their past. Love is kind, never gives up or passes away.
