Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit—with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. Why do we pray? The Four Postures of Prayer 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Luke 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. THE POSTURE OF HUMILITY Psalms 37:3-4 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. THE POSTURE OF DELIGHT 1.
