    Nikki and Tiffany Take Sundance!

Pod People, have you missed us? We took a much-needed break during January and February 2026, but we are back, baby, with a very special episode about our adventures at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival! Yes, we traipsed to the mountains of Park City, Utah, to catch incredible film premieres and do a little celeb sighting. And boy do we have stories!  Listen to us talk about the blessing that was Sergio, Nikki using game theory and the power of the interwebs to score us tickets that we definitely didn't get prior to arriving in Utah, and our spoiler-free thoughts on the films we were lucky enough to see:  Saccharine (Horror) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35050712/  Closure (Documentary) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt39075417/  I Want Your Sex (Dark Erotic Comedy) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32332915/  zi (Drama) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt39150111/  Leviticus (Horror) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt39143902/  undertone (Horror) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35892608/  Rock Springs (Horror) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt33999471/ Midnight Short Film Program (Horror) - https://festival.sundance.org/program/short-info/693324631a5535814191fcc0  Twitter - @HorrorMargins Facebook - @HorrorInTheMarginsPodcast Instagram - @horrorinthemargins TikTok - @horrorinthemargins If there's a movie you'd like us to review or a creator you'd like us to interview, send us an email at horrorinthemargins@gmail.com. Film Discussion: Vic Effects + Planning for Sundance Film Festival!

Pod People, it's a new year! The horrors persist, but so do we. We hope 2026 is off to a great start for you, and if it isn't, perhaps a new episode will help to soothe the soul?  In this episode, we discuss Vic Effects, an indie psychological horror film that's currently making the rounds at film festivals! We were lucky enough to receive a screener from writer and director Chris Shern, and friend-of-the-pod Katelin Stack plays The Woman in it. Since this film isn't widely distributed yet, no big spoilers, but we still have a hearty conversation about foley artistry, that trippy moment when art and reality blur, DIY horror, meta storytelling, and obsession.  We also talk about some of the films that are premiering at Sundance Film Festival, which we'll be attending later this month. And you better believe you'll get a full report of that trip on a future episode.  PS - This episode was recorded prior to the new year, so there are discussions of the holidays and December, and why does it already feel like it's been three months since then?
