I have loved and obsessed over baseball for my entire life. Theoretically this podcast should be right in my sweet spot considering the topics of discussion, the mix of interesting takes and nerdy/analytical content, and names that I grew up reading and/or watching.
But it just has this uncomfortable feeling of being too far behind the curve. Compared to lots of other pods, this just seems to really fall short of expectations. It’s just very boring compared to other baseball pods like the one by The Athletic.
I’m not sure why this comparison makes so much sense to me, but it’s as if my dad came to me after just discovering something that I’ve known about for a few years… and his idea to improve or freshen things—technically have that effect, but they’re also ideas that have been surpassed.
