    The next billion-dollar home robot might not be a humanoid

    Are humanoid robots really the future of the home, or are we looking at consumer robotics the wrong way?     Made in America robots: 3X more expensive than China?

    Making humanoid robots in America will cost 3X more than robots from China, according to a new report by OpenMind. In this episode, John Koetsier talks with Jan Liphardt, founder and CEO of OpenMind and professor of bioengineering at Stanford, about the global race to build and deploy physical AI. OpenMind’s new Physical AI Readiness Index looks at which countries have the manufacturing base, supply chains, hardware expertise, AI capabilities, and industrial clusters required to scale advanced robotics.
