Your Dreams Deserve More Attention with Janet Tanguay

Send us Fan Mail Vision boards can sound like arts and craft time for out-of-touch people, but they’re actually a practical tool for your brain, your boundaries, and your burnout recovery.  In this episode of the podcast, I sit down with Janet Tanguay, SBA certified business advisor and CEO of Hammock Way of Life, to break down why vision boarding works for analytical, high-achieving people who want real change and a life they don't need a vacation from.  Janet calls her method “when science meets woo,” and we dig into what that looks like when you’re trying to build a meaningful life while also juggling work, family, and constant mental load.  Janet shares examples from corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and everyday clients, plus the common mistakes that quietly sabotage goals.  We also go deep on the habits that make the vision real: small actions, accountability, breaking routines, and protecting time for yourself with clear boundaries.  If you’re burned out or stuck, this conversation offers a grounded way to start dreaming again without needing to overhaul your whole life.  You can find out more about Janet's work and connect with her here: Website: Hammock Way of LifeAmazon: janet tanguayIG: www.instagram.com/hammockwayoflife Facebook: www.facebook.com/hammockwayoflife LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/jazzyjan TikTok: www.tiktok.com/JazzyCEO Join me for more over on social media: Blog: Humans Leading | Jillian BybeeInstagram: Jillian Bybee, MD (@lifeandpicu)LinkedIn: Jillian Bybee, MD | LinkedIn Threads: @LifeandPICUWebsite: Contact — Jillian Bybee, MD (jillianbybeemd.com) If you’re ready to kickstart your journey (or your team's journey) to a less stressed life, I’m ready to help you! Rewriting the Stories We Tell Ourselves

Send us Fan Mail Does your brain like to make up stories that are keeping you stuck? These stories (aka limiting beliefs or unhelpful beliefs) can be the source of significant stress in your life and often keep you from making the changes you wish to make. In this episode, Dr. Bybee shares a personal story about how this was showing up for her recently and how listening to a Humans Leading episode from Season 1 helped her.  She's also bringing back that powerful conversation with mindset trainer and psychotherapist Caroline Ferguson to help you learn to hear the self-talk that quietly drives stress, burnout, and reactivity in your own life.  You'll learn how to spot the hidden stories behind our emotions and use simple tools to respond with more calm, clarity, and choice.  If you'd like some support to go deeper in this work, Dr. Bybee will be holding a free stress management workshop on May 27th from 7-8pm eastern time called “Transform Your Day: 3 Simple Strategies for Stress Management.”  In the workshop, you'll learn to identify limiting beliefs you have around self-care and stress management and begin to transform them. These beliefs can cause us so much stress and keep us stuck, as Dr. Bybee has seen in her own life.  By writing different, more helpful stories for ourselves, we can put ourselves on the path to a less-stressed, more satisfying life. If that sounds helpful for you, you can register by going to jillianbybeemd.com or here.  Where to find Caroline: Substack: Something More Join me for more over on social media: Blog: Humans Leading | Jillian BybeeInstagram: Jillian Bybee, MD (@lifeandpicu)LinkedIn: Jillian Bybee, MD | LinkedIn Threads: @LifeandPICUWebsite: Contact — Jillian Bybee, MD (jillianbybeemd.com) If you’re ready to kickstart your journey (or your team's journey) to a less stressed life, I’m ready to help you!
