    SmartInvest

    A suspicious call claiming to be from Lee of SmartInvest. You would expect an investment company to be enthusiastic about a knowledgeable customer, but it seems finding out the recipient worked for a hedge fund (once it was explained what that meant) was enough for Lee to hang up. These scams are distressingly common. Next time I'll try and get a bit more out of the caller about the operations and what they promise, and what questions you should be asking if you get one of these calls.
