The Opposite of Relapse Is Connection I Christine Howe & Adam Cruz

Adam spent a decade planting churches, then a decade building tech companies, and quietly, addiction ran underneath both. He and Christine talk about busyness as a coping mechanism people wear like a badge of honor, and the moment addiction became impossible to hide once he was off the stage and had to actually face what was happening. The real issue, Adam explains, was never the "what." His work was good work. It was the "why" underneath it: trying to earn love and prove himself worthy instead of already believing he was. They get into the belief systems most of us are quietly running from (am I safe, am I enough, am I wanted, am I loved), the difference between "deal friends" and real friends, and why confessional, honest relationships, not willpower, are what actually protect against relapse. Adam's workbook is The Healed Hustle, and the process isn't a finish line. It's a rhythm of catching yourself and starting again. I Was Miserable, So I Started a Happiness Company I Christine Howe & Tia Graham

Tia is the founder of Arrive at Happy and, more recently, the Feel Good Club, a community for working moms. Before that, she was a sales and marketing director drowning in guilt after having kids, despite once being the person everyone asked, "How are you so happy?" A coach helped her pull a buried dream back out: a happiness company. She and Christine talk about building it while working full time, why happiness science isn't about constant positivity, and the pancake morning that taught her happiness is a choice her father made on purpose. They get into the three pillars of a happy life, "double suffering" (feeling bad about feeling bad), and what changed once Tia's daughter was diagnosed with autism. If you've felt the pull between work and home, this sits right in that tension. Is It Your Nervous System or Your Space? I Christine Howe & Beatrice Tokayer

Most advice about mess assumes it's a discipline problem. Beatrice Tokayer's work starts somewhere else: your nervous system. Beatrice is an interior designer and founder of Sensorize Your Space. She began adapting her son's environment after his ADHD, sensory processing, and dyslexia diagnoses — and found small design changes did more for his sleep and hyperactivity than she expected. She and Christine talk through overstimulated versus understimulated brains, why clutter is rarely about being disorganized, and how a "messy zone" can protect the calm of an entire home, plus low-cost ways to think about lighting, color, and layout. Beatrice's fix is smaller than you'd expect: one zone, ten minutes a day, everything with a home. Don’t Believe Every Thought I Christine Howe & Lucas LeFever

Lucas LeFevre nearly let a season of quiet discontent talk him into ending his marriage. Instead, he started writing. Lucas founded Holy Work, a journaling practice for people who feel mentally overwhelmed, emotionally numb, or spiritually disconnected. He tells Christine the story behind it: a breaking point on a run in 2010, an unfiltered letter to his wife, and a daily writing habit that, over years, rebuilt his marriage and his sense of direction. The conversation moves through neuroplasticity, Chip Dodd's framework of eight core feelings, and why self-awareness, the single most important leadership trait, is also one of the hardest to teach. Lucas's exercise is simple enough to try tonight: fifteen minutes, one minute of silence, ten minutes of unfiltered writing, then two questions about what you wrote. No pressure to get it right the first time. Is it ADHD or Something Else? I Christine Howe & Dr. Joseph Andrews

Not everything that looks like ADHD is ADHD. Dr. Joseph Andrews spends his career helping other clinicians tell the difference. Dr. Andrews is a board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of Collaborating Psychiatrist, where he consults with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mental health providers on ADHD evaluations. He and Christine walk through what he calls the hierarchy of the inattentive syndrome: the substances, medical causes, and psychiatric causes to rule out before landing on ADHD as the explanation. You'll hear why cannabis use is one of the most underrecognized causes of attention problems, why undiagnosed sleep apnea can look exactly like ADHD, and why getting the diagnosis wrong, especially with bipolar disorder, can make treatment worse instead of better. Worth a full listen before your next appointment, especially if a diagnosis has never quite sat right. Advocating for Your ADHD Child I Christine Howe & Nicole Santiago

Nicole Santiago has one question she asks every parent who calls her: what made you pick up the phone today? Nicole founded Family ADDventures, working as an advocate, therapist, and coach for neurodivergent kids and families. She and Christine talk parental burnout, structure, and navigating public, private, and homeschool, plus a device that turns "get regulated" into something a nine-year-old can see. Unlocking Your Potential with Clarity I Christine Howe

Clarity, not hard work. That was the discovery Christine almost missed. She remembers one night early in motherhood: head on the pillow, not just discouraged, defeated. She'd worked from sunrise to bedtime two days straight and still hadn't touched the things that actually mattered. The obvious conclusion, that she just wasn't a hard worker, didn't hold up. She ruled it out. What she found instead, eventually, was that hard work was never the missing ingredient: clarity was. In this episode, Christine explains the science behind that shift: the reticular activating system, your brain's built-in filter, and why feeding it a clear image does more than any amount of grit ever could. If you're moving fast but somehow still stuck, this is worth the full listen. The fix was never more effort. It was seeing more clearly. Neuroplanning 101: Dream, Decide, Do, Review I Christine Howe & Bekah Bernard

Cortisol and adrenaline were the only two ingredients Christine knew how to run on for 35 years. In this episode, Christine and Bekah walk through the full Think Time framework: Dream, Decide, Do, Review, and why the membership calls actually start with review, not dreaming. They talk about what stress and overwhelm look like when someone first joins, why the process is intentionally shame-free, and how the size of your planning window changes how much time you spend dreaming versus doing. It's a behind-the-scenes look at what a weekly Think Time call is actually like. That cortisol and adrenaline cocktail is a pattern worth naming for yourself, and the fix Christine points to isn't a life overhaul, just five minutes of review before you plan anything ahead. You Don't Need More Discipline I Christine Howe

Christine still remembers the moment a graduate school professor asked her to stay after class. "Christine, why are you always late?" She didn't have an answer. She'd read every book on time management and organization. She knew what to do. She just couldn't do it, not even at her own wedding, where she showed up with wet nail polish and a latte in hand. Traditional productivity advice assumes a straight line: wake up early, time block, force the focus. That's not how the ADHD brain works, and pushing harder was never going to be the fix. In this episode, Christine walks through the full NeuroPlanning™ framework she built instead: Love Your Design first, then Dream, Decide, Do, Review. Dream engages your brain's built-in filter, the reticular activating system. Decide is about choosing between good, better, and best, not good and bad. Do means working with your energy and rhythms instead of against them. Review is where gratitude and consistent, honest reflection build real momentum. You don't need more discipline to make this work. You need a dream, and a structure built around how your brain actually operates. One simple way to try it tonight: grab a sheet of paper before bed. Dream, decide, do, review. See what shifts. Draw Your Dreams I Christine Howe & Bekah Bernard

Christine sits down with Bekah, who has used Think Time for almost six years and now coaches the weekly membership calls, to talk about the first layer of the Dream, Decide, Do, Review framework: drawing your dreams. It sounds simple. It also tends to meet resistance before it meets results. They talk about why putting a dream on paper, in color, works differently than just deciding to do something, what it looks like when a dream takes years to draw before it happens, and how to start when you don't yet know what you want. A dream that's been sitting in the back of your mind for years doesn't need a plan yet, just a pencil and one honest answer to Christine's prompt: if there were no obstacles, what is wild success for you? The Discovery That Changed My Life I Christine Howe

Eleven years ago, Christine was standing in a messy garage in Dallas with three kids under four and undiagnosed ADHD. What she did next, before organizing anything, changed the entire trajectory of her career. Instead of diving straight into the mess, she paused and drew what she wanted the garage to look like: shelves, labeled bins, and order to the chaos. For the first time in her life, she finished a complex, multi-step project without getting pulled off course. Nothing else had changed, not her circumstances, not her brain, not her medication. Just the drawing. In this solo episode, Christine walks through why she thinks this works: images and sensory associations are the first language of the brain. It’s faster and easier to process an image, and using a pause plus creative thinking engages different and deeper circuits of the brain than using words alone, closer to the parts that actually make decisions. Christine believes that many productivity struggles may stem from misaligned planning systems rather than laziness or a lack of discipline. This is also where NeuroPlanning™ comes from. Love Your Design, then Dream, Decide, Do, Review, built from one Saturday morning and a garage that finally made sense.
