HyperLab Omni

Two old friends comb their way through the dusty pages of old Omni magazines (think 1970s/80s) and reflect on how yesterday's vision of the future resonates with the world we know today. I binge listened to the entire show catalog over two days while working on a house project, and never lost interest. The hosts clearly love their source material and not infrequently delve into some some pretty heady and/or esoteric discussions--the ethics of scientifically "uplifting" animals, for example. All the same, the show never loses its sense of energy, curiosity and humor. The show format is somewhat loose--which works to its advantage by saving these conversations from settling into a stale routine. All that being said, I can't help wondering whether anyone following this show gets a little "turned on" by ADA's snarky, on-the-side AI commentary. Asking for a friend.
