This is a podcast where I (Katie Delaney) talk to artists about everything to feel something. In this awkward auditory exploration, I'll be talking with the artists I know (or have never met) and love, to go behind the artwork and get to the human making it all. emails and feels with rae whitlock

Oh my gosh, hi there! Are you ready to hear me laugh-cry for an hour? Well then, buckle up because, oh boy, do I have quite a time talking with Rae Whitlock (she/her.) While we primarily focus on her solo show “The Rachel Whitlock Project” (which opens June 11th,) we touch on what it was like for her to study performance art, how her anxiety manifests in daringly dangerous "what if's," and explore how receiving other people's emails has affected her own perception of identity.

    Register for the opening here.

You can follow Rae on Instagram @hashtagraewhitlock

You can pre-order Rae’s zine “Dear Rachel Whitlock” here.

mangos and san diego with cat gunn

Hi there! Are you ready for a sweet story about family and art? Well this week I got to chat with my literal best friend, Cat Gunn (they/them) about just that. Cat is from Baltimore but is currently based in San Diego, California, where they attend an MFA program at UCSD. Their recent study in ceramics explores the stories their mother told them as she grew up in the Philipines. We also spend quite a lot of time talking about food. But that's nothing new for us.

You can find Cat Gunn on Instagram @mango__hot__sauce and on the interwebs www.catgunn.com

horror stories and craft with jay sanborn

Hello there! This week I got to chat with one of the funniest people in my contacts, Baltimore-based interdisciplinary artist Jay Sanborn (they/them.) Jay talks about their current practice during the pandemic, how horror has taken root in their art-making, and why artist statements are...well, quite frankly, bullshit.

If you'd like to keep up with all things Jay, you can find them on Instagram @haleyjsanborn and check out their website haleyjsanborn.com

You can find Katie on Instagram @whoskatiedelaney

As promised, you can find Bridgette Todd's There are No Girls on the Internet podcast here. And if you were interested to learn more about Jenny Holzer's installation in the Blenheim Palace that Jay referenced, you may find more info here!
