In this episode, Jason Turflinger, Managing Director of AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce in Norway) shares his experiences with the over 200+ companies that AMCHAM has partnered with since he took over a decade ago and what they have done, and what are they doing to survive and prosper post-Covid. Jason began by discussing the various ways companies have handled the Covid period and shared insightful strategies of many different industries.  Jason discussed how certain companies have had to let people go and other companies who felt that if they let people go (fired) then it shows that they did not plan properly for the future.  Jason also gave a breakdown of the top 3 industries that did the best during Covid and also a top 3 of companies that were the least affected. Most importantly, Jason explained how AMCHAM provided its members with some verbal assistance when it comes to finding new employment.  This is something that is not advertised publicly but can be a huge benefit for many AMCHAM members who have let go of many good employees.   Jason concluded that Norway will do well after Covid.  The people and culture are strong and many member companies have implemented plans that will elevate them to the top of their industry. Our discussion then focuses on RFID technology and the benefits specifically for the retail industry.   Anders has years of experience at GS1, explaining cutting-edge technologies to companies.
