    When two esteemed artists, both of whom have won a place in your musical heart through their consistent brilliance, announce a collaboration, your pulse inevitably and instinctively quickens. But it's not a case of how good will this be; rather, how good could this be? For every memorable meeting of musical minds unleashed into an expectant world, there is a deluge of those that didn't make the grade locked in the vaults. Enter stage left Australia's Electronic Music Ambassador Anthony Pappa; and Chicago's King of the Night Nick Stoynoff… Listener, fear not! When you press play on your sound carrier of choice (the modern equivalent of putting the needle on the record when the drumbeats go like this), we can confirm that Messrs Pappa & Stoynoff will effortlessly transport you to dancefloor nirvana.     If you've been lucky enough to hear Dave play live recently, you will have heard an old favourite tune enthusiastically pulling back the curtains, blinking at the sun, having a good stretch, and returning to the fray for '26 in majestic, remixed fashion. Yes, the much-loved 'Nightfalls' is back.\n\nDave's love affair with the haunting vocal refrain ("And at sunrise / And at sunset / But when night falls / the music") from The Ananda Project's 'Cascades of Colour' has lasted for a quarter of a century, initially as a centrepiece of his much-loved Cape Town mix for Global Underground from 2000.\n\nIn 2016, appreciative of the exposure Dave had given their track, The Ananda Project returned the favour, giving Dave sample clearance to use the vocal – and 'Nightfalls' was born, making a right noise all its own as Selador's 50th release.\n\nAnd now…that haunting yet uplifting, inescapable vocal hook is back, with a re-fashioned 'Nightfalls' a focal point of Dave's eagerly anticipated album. Dave has, of course, recorded a new version himself – deep, breaks-driven, chilled yet ever so slightly menacing.\n\nA trio of handpicked remixers bring us glorious variety with their reinterpretations.\n\nElif's seriously atmospheric take guarantees transcendental dancefloor epiphanies.\n\nDilby's heads down throbber is pure energy, the vocal atop a sumptuous sonic stew.\n\nCioz is pure melodic wonk, a funky piano line underpinning a riot of riffs.
