Episode 77 - This Year Has Everything

In this quaran-episode, N1ck's audio signal drops in and out and Jesse's audio peaks....a lot. (Sorry.) The OMGeeks are experiencing a heat wave, lightning storms and brush fires. (Oh my!) We complain about the Peacock app...again. N1ck believes there was once a VCR that deleted commercials after recording. It's Shark Week, and Jesse is the only one excited about that. N1ck takes us on a long journey through the 'Sharknado' movies. We revisit the famous chainsaw scene from the first 'Sharknado'. Jesse is excited about a live reading of the 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'. The Nick's get creepy talking about Phoebe Cates. In re-visiting a scene from the movie, N1ck is very upset that there doesn't appear to be any sausage on Spicoli's pizza. The OMGeeks then chat about the short-lived TV version of the movie. There's a NEW Star Wars Holiday Special on the horizon. N1ck raves about the 'Ghosts of Tsushima' video game. A lot of news about DC Comics and DC Universe. (This was recorded prior to DC Fandome, which we discuss.) N1ck is still learning comedy timing. N2ck is excited about the new 'Masters of the Universe' toys and series. Toy Galaxy's YouTube page puts out a brilliant commentary about toy collecting in 2020. The OMGeeks are surprised at the news that the G4 Network is returning in 2021. Jesse and N1ck share what they loved about the original network and what they hope will be coming back. We flashback to the Mega Dare hot sauce challenge on 'Attack of the Show'. And lastly, N1ck claims that the Last Dab hot sauce used in 'Hot Ones' isn't that hot and that he would easily hold up in one of their challenges. Jesse is now determined to get N1ck on 'Hot Ones' so if you know anyone in casting for the game show, please contact Jesse at ohmygeekpodcast(at)gmail(dot)com. In the meantime N1ck challenges listeners to send him a hot sauce that they think will bring him down.  THIS WEEKS VIDEO CLIPS: Sharknado: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eBDwVSU56s Fast Times at Ridgemont High: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J8__fWphE0 Toy Galaxy Rant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K67_P3C0emk (EXPLICIT LANGUAGE) Attack of the Show - Hot Sauce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwVEhZHQW44 Find the Oh My Geek! podcast on all your favorite podcast platforms including Anchor.fm, Apple Podcasts and Stitcher! Episode 76 - It's A Major Award

In this episode the OMGeeks compare quarantine mullets. Ji may not be on this episode but we congratulate him on winning a major teaching award from Amazon. Michael Keaton may return as Batman in the upcoming Flash movie. We make the case for Kevin Conroy being a voice in one of the Batman movies. There's going to be a remake of the tornado-centric movie 'Twister'. The OMGeeks remember some of the first DVDs they ever purchased. Just how bad was 'Wayne's World 2'? The teaser trailer for 'Bill & Ted Face The Music' has dropped. 'Hamilton' hits Disney+ and the Mouse House is taking out some naughty words. Jesse rants against the MPAA. HBO Max has launched and it's pretty good, but 'South Park' is missing some episodes. The OMGeeks explain why it's still better to buy physical media instead of downloads. N2ck tries to get a copy of 'Condorman' for Jesse. Disney has announced that they will be changing their 'Splash Mountain' attraction from the 'Song of the South' theme to 'The Princess and the Frog'. N1ck is still afraid to go on the ride no matter what the theme is. The OMGeeks wonder if Disney is hurting themselves by continuing to hide 'Song of the South' and pretend it doesn't exist. Warner Bros. goes in the opposite direction and adds an intro to 'Gone With The Wind' on HBO Max.     Find the Oh My Geek! podcast on all your favorite podcast platforms including Anchor.fm, Apple Podcasts and Stitcher! Episode 75 - The Return of Ji

This episode was recorded remotely by the OMGeeks last month as we needed to reunite and have some laughs.  In this episode, Ji returns from his quest to conquer the world. We're also joined by one of the newest members of the OMGeek family, Ed. (Have you met Ed?) The OMGeeks decide to share their love for the original G.I. Joe animated series. They also look back on how they helped start the online conventions with Social Distance Con. Jesse really misses Pioneer Chicken. We all share how we've been doing since the lockdown. N1ck shares too much information about the temperature of his room. The OMGeeks discuss what the future of comic book and theatrical releases will be. Did laugh tracks help sitcoms? Why is Jimmy so Fallon? Ed reminds us what Autopia at Disneyland used to smell like. Ji apologizes for mistakes made in his world domination experiment and promises 2021 should be better. How profitable is it for studios to release movies straight to VOD and streaming? The OMGeeks give streaming recommendations and share what they've been binging and playing. We wonder if Ed is about to be purged. Jesse had early access to the Peacock app and is not impressed. What's a Quibi? The OMGeeks are excited about Broadway shows being available to stream. (Seriously. We are!) N2ck gets excited about a Bob Ross toaster.  Find the Oh My Geek! podcast on all your favorite podcast platforms including Anchor.fm, Apple Podcasts and Stitcher! Episode 73 - Some Antics?

Hello fellow OMgeeks! We're getting back on track and will be dropping the last couple of episodes that were delayed in being released. Some of the stories may be out of date, but our geekiness is timeless. Once again we are recording live from the shop floor at Current Comics. In this episode we learn that N1ck's elementary school experience was very odd and included a lot of drugs and knife fights. We get nostalgic over old toy ads. Jesse talks about a the Kokomo Toy Store in Indiana (www.kokomotoys.com) and all of the vintage items they have. They discuss the Academy Award nominations. (Hey. I said some of the news was old.) They make predictions on what may take the awards. (Now you can see who was right.) We talk about one-hit wonder bands. The OMGeeks dip into the sports world to talk about that Houston baseball team that cheated and they method they used to do it. In Star Wars news - The original draft of 'Star Wars: Episode 9' leaks on the internet. 'Rise of the Resistance' finally opens at Disneyland and the crowds arrive with it. 'The Rise of Kylo Ren' comic book drops. Eminem surprises everyone and drops a new album. N1ck confesses that he was recently watching an Olsen Twins movie. N2ck and Jesse question N1ck's financial choices.        The Oh My Geek! podcast is recorded at Current Comics in Salinas, CA.
