Is Jesus Really the Only Way? How Can Sinners Be Called Holy? And Where Did Jesus Go After the Cross?

Is it narrow minded to say Jesus is the only way? Pastor Scott Thom shows why Jesus is unique: He did not just claim to forgive sins, He proved it by healing the paralytic in Mark 2. Sandy asks how the children of God can be made holy when only God is holy. Pastor Scott opens Hebrews 2:11 and explains propitiation with the story of an injured worker whose employer does far more than pay the bills. Art asks what happened when Jesus went to Abraham's bosom, and Pastor Scott walks through Luke 16 and how Christ "led captivity captive." Brian asks where the Bible says Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, which leads to Isaiah 52:14 and the road to Emmaus. Pastor Scott closes with why "one way" is not intolerant, but the greatest love ever shown. Cross Fellowship is a Bible teaching church home in Albuquerque. Is There Proof God Exists, Is the Bible a Myth, and What Do I Say When Mormons Knock?

Nestor, a university student surrounded by atheism and Darwinian evolution, asks for the best arguments for the existence of God. Pastor Scott Thom walks through the cosmological argument, the moral argument and the argument from design, showing why even the simplest living cell could never assemble itself by chance. Sandy's atheist friend calls her faith a myth, so Pastor Scott explains why the Gospels cannot be a myth, then answers her question about how "absent from the body, present with the Lord" fits with the dead in Christ rising at His return. Marguerite asks whether a believer can be sanctified and sinless from the moment of salvation, and whether one sin sends a Christian to hell, opening up the difference between justification and lifelong sanctification. And Katrina writes in to ask what Scriptures to show the Mormon missionaries who came to her door, leading Pastor Scott through Hebrews 1 and why every conversation with a cult has to start with who Jesus really is. Why Jesus Is Unique, Can a Christian Be Bound by Generational Sin, and Are We Close to the End?

Picking up Diane's question from last week, Pastor Scott Thom shows why Jesus stands apart from every other religious founder: He forgave sins, gave life, accepted worship, claimed to be the way of salvation, and then proved it by rising from the dead before more than five hundred witnesses. Naomi calls in after going through a "spiritual cleansing" and asks whether demons can still get a foothold on a believer who keeps battling anger and lust. Pastor Scott explains the limits of the enemy's power over a Christian, why the idea of generational curses misreads Exodus 20, and the practical steps the Bible gives for overcoming a habitual sin. He then answers whether we have to confess every single sin to stay forgiven. Anne, who has been studying the Book of Daniel, asks whether the rising tension around Israel signals that the end times are near. And a listener named Darlene asks the hard question of whether a believer who takes their own life goes to hell. Cross Fellowship is a Bible teaching church home in Albuquerque. Learn more and plan a visit at CrossFellowship.org. Have you ever had someone bring you a question like Naomi's or Anne's and realized you didn't know where to start? Most believers want to help, but nobody ever trained them to open the Scriptures and answer with confidence, and between work, family and cost, Bible school feels out of reach. CCF Bible College (CCFcollege.com) removes those barriers: self paced, affordable training you can start any time, including Shepherd School, a two year program built for anyone pursuing pastoral and full time ministry roles. How Do We Know Which Religion Is True, and Who Is Melchizedek?

A listener named Diane asks the question so many people wrestle with: how did we end up with so many religions in the world, and how do you know which one, if any, is actually right? Pastor Scott Thom walks through why truth isn't just a personal preference, why contradictory religions can't all be true at once, and how logic alone narrows the field down to a personal, eternal Creator, before making the case for the Bible's own unique reliability among world religious texts. Three callers bring their own Bible questions: Bill asks why King Solomon reacted so strongly to a request tied to one of his father's concubines in 1 Kings 2, Carol wants to know who Melchizedek really was in Hebrews 7, and Tom asks whether the mysterious "angel of the Lord" who keeps appearing throughout the Old Testament is actually Jesus Christ Himself before His birth in Bethlehem.   Cross Fellowship is a Bible teaching church home in Albuquerque. Most believers freeze up in that moment, not because they don't have faith, but because no one ever walked them through how to think it through. CCF Bible College (CCFcollege.com) exists to close that gap: self-paced, affordable training you can start anytime, including Shepherd School, a two-year program for anyone pursuing pastoral and full-time ministry roles. The Believer's Crowns, and Who Really Goes to Hell?

Continuing the series on the judgments still to come, Pastor Scott Thom teaches on the judgment of the believer, the Bema Seat, and the four crowns Scripture promises for faithful service: the crown of rejoicing, the crown of righteousness, the crown of life, and the crown of glory. A listener named Steve asks the question so many are wondering right now: with wars, unrest, and disasters in the headlines, why aren't more pastors teaching on the end times? And in one of the most personal calls this show has taken, a caller named Linda, a police officer for ten years who lost her son to suicide, asks Pastor Scott directly: who actually goes to hell? Is it only about accepting Christ, or does mental illness and addiction change the answer? Pastor Scott walks through accountability, God's mercy, and what Scripture does and doesn't say about suicide.   Cross Fellowship is a Bible-teaching church home in Albuquerque. The Judgment of the Believer, and Do We Forfeit Our Inheritance?

Pastor Scott Thom kicks off a new teaching series on the five judgments yet to come - the judgment of the believer, the nations, Israel, the unsaved, and the fallen angels - starting this week with a deep dive into the judgment of the believer. He walks through why a Christian is never judged for sin (it was already judged at the cross), what self-judgment and sanctification actually look like, and what the Bema Seat judgment of rewards is really about. A caller named Naomi asks the question so many believers wrestle with: can we forfeit rewards or inheritance through sin, or does backsliding put our salvation itself in question? Pastor Scott also answers a listener's question about whether "Hard Sayings of the Bible" and the "When Skeptics/Critics/Cultists Ask" series are solid apologetics resources to hand a friend - and closes the show with a clear, simple picture of the gospel and an invitation to know Christ.   Cross Fellowship is a Bible-teaching church home in Albuquerque - learn more and plan a visit at CrossFellowship.org.   Ever sense God stirring something in you about ministry, but aren't sure what to do next? Does Satan Know the Future? God's Jealousy, the Missing Books of the Bible, and Free Will in Eden

On this episode of No Other Doctrine, Pastor Scott Thom opens with a question he's asked often: how much does Satan actually know about the future? Walking through Job chapter 1 and Jesus' temptation in Luke 4, he shows that Satan can observe the spiritual realm but can't predict God's plans with any certainty — and Scripture proves it, since Satan's one recorded prediction about Job never came true. From there, Pastor Scott revisits a question a student asked during a visit to a local high school's Christian club: is God really jealous, and if so, what does that mean? He unpacks the biblical sense of jealousy as a selfless, protective love rather than human insecurity — God wants what's best for us, not control over us.   A caller then asks about the extra books found in Catholic Bibles but not in Protestant ones. Pastor Scott explains why books like Maccabees and Judith were excluded from the canon — historical and doctrinal errors, a lack of prophetic authority, and no recognition from Jesus, the apostles, or the early church fathers — and how doctrines like purgatory and indulgences shaped which books the Catholic Church later added. The episode closes with a listener's question about free will: if God is all-knowing, why did He allow Satan to tempt Adam and Eve in the first place? Pastor Scott traces the answer back to what makes love and relationship with God genuinely real.   Cross Christian Fellowship exists to help people know God's Word and grow in their faith.
