Join the Wonder Twins and Headscarf Mafia as they lovingly say goodbye to the podcast and the faithful thirteen. All this and the introduction of a brand new, canine-based childhood curriculum. Customer Reviews
Fantastic!
As an Orthodox Christian, I really enjoy this podcast! It absolutely blows me away how many Christian messages can be found in films and TV shows (if you look hard enough).
The Top Fives are also a nice touch. Highly recommend for Orthodox and Non-Orthodox alike! (Side Note, you guys should totally do an episode about Knives Out.)
The Lightkeeper
I listened to this podcast for the first time today and am very disappointed by the review of The Lightkeeper offered by the women hosting. Obviously, not every book is a good fit for every reader, and we all have books we dislike. It seems extraordinarily uncharitable, however, to “promote” a book by spoiling its ending in a podcast to which the target audience listens. Why would anyone buy this book after listening to this episode and hearing how the book ends? I appreciated some of the discussion about the themes and respect the differing opinions about the quality of the book. It doesn’t seem, however, that the women hosting prepared for this episode - they didn’t clearly remember all aspects of the book, they at times lacked the vocabulary to discuss some of the events that happened, and, most importantly, they didn’t think through how to have this discussion without ruining the ending for every potential reader. I am certainly glad I’m not the author because I can’t imagine what this episode may do to book sales.
Love this podcast/topic suggestion
This podcast is awesome! It’s lots of fun and often helps me to reflect on my own life and faith in a meaningful way. I have a suggestion for an episode: Firefly. I’m personally a big fan of the show and universe and am really interested to hear PCCH’s take on it.
Update: another show that would be awesome to hear about is Lost. So many Christian themes and other things to discuss there
