“I am a mind hacker and consultant focused on how cognitive science and technology converge to create AI innovations for the future. I hold a doctoral degree from Oxford University and am based in Bratislava, Slovakia. My research focuses on cognitive science, social stability, and computer simulation. I also use AI and big-data approaches. I my D.Phil. from the Institute of Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Oxford in 2019. I currently hold an academic position at the Center for Modeling Social Systems and work with the Virginia Modeling Analysis and Simulation Center as well as the Center for Mind and Culture. I am also the CTO of ALAN Analytics s.r.o.”

He’s also the author of Understanding Religion Through Artificial Intelligence: Bonding and Belief (Scientific Studies of Religion: Inquiry and Explanation).

Giulio is an Italian information technology and virtual reality consultant, as well as a writer, futurist, and Transhumanist. Formerly a senior manager in the European Space Agency, Prisco is a physicist and computer scientist. He served as a member on the board of directors of World Transhumanist Association, of which he was temporarily executive director, and continues to serve as a member on the board of directors of the Associazione Italiana Transumanisti. He is also a founding member of the Order of Cosmic Engineers, and the Turing Church, fledgling organizations which claim that the benefits of a technological singularity, which would come from accelerating change, should or would be viable alternatives to the promises of major religious groups.

Chris received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the University of Toledo where he specialized in left-right brain differences. He has conducted research on consciousness, handedness, beliefs and the sense of self and is currently an associate professor of cognitive psychology at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.

Eleanor ‘Nell’ Watson is an interdisciplinary researcher in emerging technologies such as machine vision and A.I. ethics. Her work primarily focuses on protecting human rights and putting ethics, safety, and the values of the human spirit into technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. Nell serves as Chair & Vice-Chair respectively of the IEEE’s ECPAIS Transparency Experts Focus Group, and P7001 Transparency of Autonomous Systems committee on A.I. Ethics & Safety, engineering credit score-like mechanisms into A.I. to help safeguard algorithmic trust. She also chairs EthicsNet.org, a community teaching prosocial behaviors to machines, CulturalPeace.org, crafting Geneva Conventions-style rules for cultural conflict, Endohazard.org, a hazard symbol project for informing consumers of endocrine disruptors, and Pacha.org, connecting a network of service providers to help enable the automated accounting of externalities (shifted costs) such as pollution. Nell serves as an Executive Consultant on philosophical matters for Apple, as well as serving as Senior Scientific Advisor to The Future Society, and Senior Fellow to The Atlantic Council. She also holds Fellowships with the British Computing Society and Royal Statistical Society, among others. Her public speaking has inspired audiences to work towards a brighter future at venues such as The World Bank, The United Nations General Assembly, and The Royal Society.
