Jinjja Cha Podcast

I listen to a number of K-pop podcasts, and it’s amazing how many lanes you can take talking about one particular topic. But this is one podcast that gathers a whole lot of those threads and whips it into a frenzy. It has the energy of a wild “hot take” opinion show, but they come with experience and receipts. They speak from their experience as women of color who can contextualize K-pop culture from a lived experience in South Korea, and can draw out analogies of the rise of the hallyu wave as comparable to the rise of hip-hop as a global cultural force. And they’re funny as hell.

This is a great addition to the Hallyu podcast-scape. Love the different perspectives and opinions of the hosts, and the guests have been great.
