Funny in a Small Town

I am a longtime listener and member of the Icebox Radio Theater. I am also an amateur tire changer and find that I do indeed enjoy all of the IBRT programs, and think that FIST is a perfect slice of Minnesotan humor and life "Up North." I have never listened while changing my tires or working on a my car. I have had the podcast playing while driving and prior to stopping for gas. However, I always pause it while refueling, which I guess really isn't the same thing at all as changing tires come to think of it. Anyway, I have found that I continued to enjoy listening upon filling my tank and resuming driving. I wonder what makes the tire changing/FIST relationship so magical? Perhaps if I listened to FIST next time I changed over my snow tires I would enjoy the programming even more. Or perhaps my tire changing abilities would be improved? I will follow up with future post. However, for now, what I can say for certain is that I found FIST to be funny while working in the laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher. This programming is great to listen to while doing cell culture or running a linear accelerator. If my line of research results in a viable treatment for cancer I will make sure to acknowledge the contribution of FIST to science and medicine.
