123 - Briana Harley and Friends perform a Full Live Set

We managed to squeeze in TWO episodes in one weekend. A first for us, all thanks to the new workflow we have. We are heading into a new age for the show, so we’re hoping to do this a lot more often than before. On this new episode we have the wonderful and talented Briana Harley and Friends. Previously of Storeetellers (Episode 73; https://youtu.be/PdgmqPh0WvE), she has been doing the rounds lately as the host of Open Stage. Really great videos featuring more than just music. And on top of that she teaches music at her own studio B & B Productions in the city of Orange, CA. The other guest performers are Sol on bass and Nicole on drums. Check her links below for more. And special thanks to her for letting us use her space for this episode. We’ll start adding more episodes and inviting more music guests as we progress. And with these, we want to make sure everyone feels comfortable doing them. I know there are still a lot of us out there taking extra precautions, and we feel you. Also, we hope you dig the new logo. I got tired of the old one and wanted to make something that is a little more uniform. We want to do our best to make sure these artists are taken care of. Due to Covid, a lot of us lost income due to venues closing down… and some shut down forever. In the meantime, you can give these artists some likes and share their music. It’s the least we can all do until we can find a good solution to the problem. Peace. See you all very soon!

    122 - The Yummy's Perform a Full Live Set

Wow it's been too long since we've presented any local bands. Too long. With all the restrictions in place here in Orange County California due to Covid, we've been laying low and trying to figure out a way to bring you shows without putting peoples lives in danger. With that, we present to you a fairly new band with some familiar faces to our show: They Yummy's. Somewhat hosted by Brennan Roach and recorded LIVE to "tape." We normally record our show in our garage, but due to Covid we didn't want to have a bunch of people from separate households cooped up in a small space at one time. So the way we set this up is by having our garage open with the band facing out to the 'hood. We set up our cameras on tripods, used a remote switcher for the video, and mixed the audio on the other side of the garage wall, which created an environment where our crew would not be in the same room as the performers. We hope you enjoy this episode and hope this works out for everyone involved. We're hoping to do more mobile set ups to bring you episodes with quick turnarounds compared to previous years, which means we can host a lot more bands. Subscribe, hit like, share and stay tuned.
