    In this episode we talk about the newest installment of Paul Greengrass' Bourne series, Jason Bourne. We also discuss some filmmaking techniques at the end of the show and where the Bourne movies fit in cinema history. It's a little bit more technical of a show, but we promise it's also really entertaining still!

    Extra! Extra! Hunt for the Wilderpeople!

    Hunt for the Wilderpeople is the newest film by New Zealand director Taika Wahiti, and let me tell you, it was hilarious! We have a lot of fun reminiscing and talking about this movie, which was one of the most fun times both of us have had in the theatre in a really long time. Ben also learns the meanings of a lot of the words Taryn has been using throughout the podcast thus far. Finally the mystery is solved and Ben can sleep at night. The song in the middle of the episode is called "Trifecta" by Moniker

    Ben Loves Life Animated

    We discuss our first documentary today, and boy do we disagree about everything! Taryn doesn't understand Disney joy, and Ben doesn't understand the anti-vaxxer. Yes.     The Hiding Place and other Christian movies

    For this episode we watched an old Christian film called The Hiding Place, which is a movie about Corrie ten Boom. It was very challenging and was surprisingly better than Ben expected it to be. Taryn knew that it was ggood. We also get a little technical in our discussion about Christian film and audiences and the progression, or maybe digression, of Christian film throughout the ages. We've talked about some of these things in previous episodes, but we finally get it all out in this episode so maybe we'll stop talking about it now. Enjoy guys and gals!

    Free State of Jones

    We normally have a couple of weeks between when we record and when we upload, but we moved this episode up because we think the discussion is relevant to our current cultural mood and we didn't want to lose that. Our hearts were heavy as we recorded last week and the movie we discuss is a great catalyst to understand that a lot of the problems America faced during the Civil War are still plaguing us today.     In this episode Ben and Taryn discuss two movies from the other's culture. Ben loved his viewing of Barbershop and has hilarious anecdotes about his movie viewing experience. Taryn does not like the over-the-top violence in The Nice Guys, but had some interesting insights into the film.
