You saved me a fortune !!!!

I started listening to this podcast when I knew I was going to leave my (ex) husband. I was terrified of the divorce process and didn’t know what to expect so coming across this website was a godsend. I listened to every podcast and so when it was time for me to file, I knew exactly what I was walking into and my level of preparation was so high that my lawyer was astonished. I prepared myself ahead of time by getting all our financial information ready. This was not a case of a woman who didn’t know what was in the account or where all the accounts were. I was prepared for the division of assets, for custody, and for various details I wanted to be sure were outlined in our decree. I say this saved me a fortune because I was so prepared that I didn’t allow my lawyer to lead me down rabbit holes like they tend to do. I knew what I was entitled to, what he was entitled to, and I knew the cost of fighting for anything in the grey area would outweigh the benefit. And so, I was divorced in 61 days and did so for a very reasonable amount. I know this wouldn’t have been the case had I not stumbled into this podcast. So, thank you!

Really helpful and thoughtful

Useful tips for anyone going thinking about or going through a divorce. Episodes are thoughtful and comprehensive, and Ani makes the subject matter easy to follow (and entertaining, even?). A great complement to working with your own lawyer, or a great guide for the DIY’er.
