OOT is very entertaining for a wide range of listeners.
Will Pfeifer is a fanatic with decades spent feasting on the canon of film, devouring movies of brow both high and low. His young sidekick (but not ward) Billy Kulpa likes movies, but was raised on the standard American diet.
If your movie experience has mostly been acquired at the hi-def multiplex, like Billy, you’re in for a wisely curated trip through an eclectic palette of movies you’ve heard of but never seen, as well as movies you’ve never heard of but will soon be glad to know.
For people more like Will who have a wide-ranging love of movies (although truthfully — you probably don’t know many people who love movies as much as Will does) it’s a chance to perhaps revisit an old favorite and get an insightful take on it as well as see how a fresh pair of eyes views that movie.
In any case, it’s a fun ride and a hang as you listen to Oscar and Felix, Bert and Ernie, or perhaps most aptly Sherman and Mr. Peabody wend their way through movies that deserve your attention.
