NonProphets is a weekly podcast about forecasting. The hosts became "superforecasters" based on the strength of their performances in the Good Judgment Project forecasting tournament, and they have continued to forecast on a wide array of topics with Good Judgment, Inc. In this podcast, they discuss their forecasting processes, and offer their analysis of questions on public forecasting platforms, such as the Good Judgment Open and Almanis, as well as other topics of interest to them. Most episodes end with a "Black Swan Hunt," in which they consider a momentous but low-probability event that may be more likely than many people think. Each episode is like the future: you can never be completely sure what will happen.

Hone your forecasting thought process

Found these guys after getting into the Good Judgment Open competition (find me at Dglid) and immediately downloaded all past episodes. Finally caught up and love how they think through forecasts and probabilities.

Thanks guys for taking my recommendation of incentivizing reviews through posting of a prediction! My prediction for color of the year: Mosaic Blue. It’s been a while since they’ve done a blue and I think they’ll go with something not specifically nature related like last year but still indirectly earth-related.

Keep it up!

Preaching politics rather than forecasting

I’ve listened to 3 episodes because I’m very interested in the habits of super forecasters. They have talked about a few forecasting topics but honestly spent very little time talking about specific forecasts and how they got there and how they would adjust. In two of the three episodes the hosts spent most of the time talking about politics and basically preaching left wing talking points without providing evidence and not bringing it back to a forecast of anything. I suspect they would live to host a political commentary podcast which would be fine but that wasn’t why I came here.
