Fun show. Not always serious. Always a voice of New Orleans. Scoot is a legendary person. We are lucky to hear his perspective. You don’t have to agree. You do have to be kind.

The episode about Kirk’s death is garbage. What kind of a fantasy world do you live in? I wish we lived in a different world, but I’m not willing to live a lie either. The collective spin suggests a knee jerk reaction. Charlie was a propagandist who made 15 million off his act. My only sympathy extends to his personal life, i.e. family. But to suggest Kirk was murdered bc someone simply disagreed him ignores so many obvious bits of context. He was not some guy looking for a good talk. He didn’t foster debate. He clip farmed lefties loosing it style rage bait and weaponized it very effectively. The new faces at the inauguration were YouTube stars. I’m not in support of violence, but to take this stance suggests a complete ignorance of American history and just how many assassinations our government has take part in. If we applied the same standards to our politicians imagine how many would be on death row? A lot of people have been asking for accountability. You have to entertain the idea, at the least. There certainly is a lot historical evidence that suggests never has a people been able to achieve self determination without violence.

I’m in my mid-fifties and I grew up on the Westbank. I’ve lived out of state for a number of years now. But I have good memories of waking up to Scoot in the Morning when I was a kid. I’m really happy I found Scoot’s talk radio program in iTunes. If anything, he’s only gotten better over the years. If you want to listen to talk radio that isn’t full on conservative/Republican, I recommend his podcast heartedly. Scoot is able to engage with people with all different viewpoints in a way that I wish our politicians would.
