Extremely Valuable

I have found Autumn’s content so very helpful. I am at the very beginning stages in business and not ready to hire legal yet. She provides so much value. I suggest going back to her very first episodes and listening to those as she does an entire overview. Each of those has a wonderful PDF download to go with. I ended up purchasing some of her template packets, which I found so easy to use. I can’t tell you the amount of relief I’ve had from listening to her podcast as well as using her services!
Copyright law

So I recently was working on a project with friends which started out great (that’s how it always start), and as the writer of the project, I ended up hitting a brick wall when everyone claimed that there was no joint authorship, which was verbally agreed upon. However, I suggested having an official written contract laying out the exact terms, work for hire agreements, so that they can rightfully own every part of the project. After talking with a lawyer and looping her in, everyone opposed the idea. While I was willing to sign an NDA late in the process to protect everyone’s interest, I thought I was doing a good job by saying hey if that’s the case we should have a retroactive agreement written out. Again, they violently objected and I was iced out from further information regarding film festivals etc. Because of my frustration I wanted to dig deeper into copyright law and I was looking for a podcast that talks about all these things. The lawyer I consulted did a great job at telling me my rights, but as a hoarder of information I just this podcast does a great job of covering sooooo many topics that affects businesses esp creative businesses. (As someone who is rejecting how I feel in search of valid information this is such a great podcast either as a starter or as a refresher of what you need to have in place to protect yourself)
This podcast is gold
