Comedy podcast I’ve been waiting for
First off, I can’t get over how much the host sounds like a bizarro world sincere Sean Clements. Very funny & disorienting.
Amazing podcast. It has all the great contemporary comedy figures I love talking specifically and at length about writing. Lots of good insights!
Very enjoyable, could get deeper
This podcast is great because it talks to the people behind the scenes that we rarely hear from. It's easy to talk to the "star" writers who have made it, but anecdotal stories and tales of experience from the people who are really in the thick of being a jobber are even more inspiring.
Only criticisms: 1. interviews could dive a little deeper into the craft overall and each persons approach. Something like "How did you find your voice?" would really get some good conversation going. The format seems to stayed same since the beginning and it's a little repetitive. 2. PLEASE do something about the microphones or levels. Very often I can't even listen on the train because I literally can't hear what anybody is saying. Turn it up!
