You Might Enjoy: The School of Greatness

Introducing Secret Service Agent: How to Get Anyone to Tell You the Truth | Brad Beeler from The School of Greatness. Follow the show: The School of Greatness People tell you the truth when they feel safe, and one raised eyebrow can shut them down. Brad Beeler, who spent 25 years as a US Secret Service agent and polygraph examiner, sat down with Lewis and explained how he got a couple thousand people to open up about the worst things they had ever done. His rule is simple: never punish the disclosure. He once watched a suspect go silent the second a flash of contempt crossed his face. You will hear why a neutral face reads as a threat in first impressions and why lie detection is close to a coin flip, with people getting it right only 54% of the time. Brad watches your feet to see how comfortable you are, and he treats every cue as a check engine light to follow up on later. He also shares the cases he got wrong, including the day he fixated on a 6 foot 4 biker while the quiet man in front of him kept saying “that's not it.” His book, Tell Me Everything, grew out of those mistakes, and the lessons carry straight into your relationships and your parenting. Swap “why did you do that” for “help me understand” and give the other person an off ramp to save face. Lewis admits how hard that is when someone has hurt you, and Brad admits he lost his cool with his own son's coach. After this one, you will catch your own face in the next hard conversation. And you will probably ask one more question before you say “me too.” Tell Me Everything: A Secret Service Agent's Proven Strategies for Earning Trust, Revealing the Truth, and Communicating with Anyone Brad's Website Brad's Instagram In this episode you will: Discover why a Secret Service polygraph expert says spotting lies from body language barely beats a coin flipCreate the judgment free environment that makes people feel safe telling you the truthLearn the Buddy framework for giving someone an off-ramp to confess without excusing what they didBuild instant rapport with Brad Beeler's FEEL method: family, education, employment, leisureTreat first impressions as a hypothesis so horns and halos stop steering you wrongProtect your face from flashing contempt and shutting down a hard disclosureFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1990 More SOG episodes we think you’ll love! After two weeks away, the Team of Rivals Podcast is back, and apparently we had a lot to get off our collective chest. So much, in fact, that this one ran well over two hours. (Lucky you, we broke it up into two episodes.) We start with some of the non-statistical good stories that actually matter: videos from Justin Verlander's and Max Scherzer's final games, Case Keenum and his daughter, and Payton Tolle's immaculate inning. Then we turn our attention to the Milwaukee Brewers and their inexplicable Devil Magic, which we would like to formally request they return to its original owner, the St. Louis Cardinals. We discuss the ends of the Cubs' and Cardinals' seasons, what comes next with a looming MLB lockout, and Ron's increasingly tenuous relationship with Major League Baseball, including his growing desire for a full-scale lockout that burns the whole thing down and starts over. On the bright side… we get irrationally excited about the Chicago Bears! Buckle up for this week's Soccer Minute, which is considerably longer than a minute this week. (But not in this episode, because we're going to release that later this week!) Three weeks away. Over two hours of catching up. We have absolutely no idea where the time went. 📺 Watch the Livestream: YouTube | Rumble 📺 Watch the "Full Yap" Livestream: YouTube | Rumble | Facebook | X 📌 Follow: @TeamOfRivalsPod | Elliott @ToR_Elliott | Ron @ToR_Ron75 | @TheParkSTL 📧 Email: TeamOfRivalsPodcast@gmail.com

Pete Crow-Armstrong is on an absolutely ridiculous heater, and Cubs fans are loving every second of it. Everyone else? Not so much. This week, the Team of Rivals crew tackles the men you love to hate — from PCA and Yadier Molina to Dodgers owner Mark Walter and Alexander Isak. We get into why PCA has quickly become the kind of player opposing fans can't stand but would absolutely love to have on their own team, and whether his Mets-to-Cubs journey is turning into one of the worst organizational misses in recent memory. Then there's Mark Walter and the Dodgers, including the questions surrounding the team's broadcasting arrangement, ownership, MLB's role in approving it, and Shohei Ohtani's unusual contract situation. On the soccer side, we dig into Alexander Isak's ugly Newcastle exit, whether he's really a fit for Liverpool, and the growing comparison between Isak and Kyle Tucker. Meanwhile, St. Louis City has gone from the bottom of the table to an unbeaten run — despite selling two of its best players — and Newcastle has somehow opened the Premier League season with four points after everyone seemingly expected disaster. Plus: VAR frustration, the Bears' ongoing stadium saga, fútbol fantasy, and the most perfectly forgotten fifth suspect imaginable. It's another episode of Team of Rivals (and apparently At the Park STL, too). 📺 Watch the Livestream: YouTube | Rumble | Facebook | X 📌 Follow: @TeamOfRivalsPod | Elliott @ToR_Elliott | Ron @ToR_Ron75 | @TheParkSTL 📧 Email: TeamOfRivalsPodcast@gmail.com
