Doctor Who Target Book Club Podcast

I've been reading the Target books since about 1982 and they were my source of Doctor Who that wasn't available on my local PBS station. I appreciate the format of the show with the three levels of knowledge and that three hosts don't always agree with each other but can stated their opinions equally. My only complaint is the use of vulgar language in an otherwise articulate podcast. Otherwise, I've truly enjoyed this one and will be sad if it comes to a close at the end of the Target run.

Having to unsubscribe as listening to this podcast lessens my enjoyment of the books. Was hoping for positive opinions. For those who will be listening in the future... Please adopt a more loving attitude toward the novelizations. Try to find the good in all of them before leaping to the perceived attitude toward them, and leading the newer fans on the podcast into thinking so negatively about them. We read them because we love them.

As a long-time Who fan (though not quite as long as one of the hosts on this show), I vividly recall the days of the Target novels. I collected them, read them and read them again and again. Now years later, Tony Whitt and a rotating series of panelists look back on the Target novels. But instead of the release order, they're going in the order the stories aired on TV. For me, that's the hook of the podcast. The rotating team is interesting and keeps things lively. They can get a little crude and irreverant at times, but who can't when talking about things with your friends. Overall, this is one of the better Doctor Who related podcasts out there and worth giving a listen.

I agree with others who object to the overly critical options. Too bad. Great idea for a podcast.
