This Town Is Doomed

Didn’t mean to sound like Snagglepuss there in the title, but I LOOOOVE surreal podcasts... and the best thing about podcasts (in general) is that they’re mostly created by regular ordinary people like you and me... and people are a lot more creative, imaginative, and have a much stronger love of surrealism than I would have thought. The mix of 80’s 90’s and 00’s pop culture is spot on and can really get you lost in a nostalgic labyrinth in your own mind - for me it’s the 70’s and 80’s that can do a number on my psyche when presented in just the right way, and the three “Cool TV” episodes are absolutely just that.

I like the content and the sound

I listen to a lot of podcasts, and there is nothing like this one anywhere else. If I had to compare it to something, maybe I’d say that it’s like the Harry Shearer show meets Welcome to Night Vale. Except that you know how Harry Shearer plays awful music? This show has great music. The guy who makes this podcast remixes all kinds of hilarious stuff he finds all over the place. Often, he seems to get a kick out of the weird way someone said something and he’ll mix it into something else, and it’s strangely brilliant. I laugh out loud listening to this podcast all the time. I felt like it’s important that I write a review because this podcast needs an audience. It’s a rare gem. A diamond in the rough of inane babbling that is out there. It’s a work of art. You should listen to every episode. A few are ONLY music, but the vast majority are true podcasts. Read the description to know for sure.
