Gallifrey's Most Wanted Episode 197 -- Dark Tides

In this episode, Ross Aitken, Melvin Peña, and Dan Hollingsworth come together to talk about the latest 9th Doctor and Rose story, Dark Tides . Released by Big Finish Productions as part of The Ninth Doctor Adventures , this full-cast audio drama launches Christopher Eccleston's Doctor and Billie Piper's Rose Tyler away from the Powell Estate and deep into the cosmos. Written by Tim Foley, the narrative follows the duo as they cross paths with the Knights of Atlas—a band of space-faring relic hunters targeting the Vesterbold, a legendary mapping ship that has drifted free from a treacherous, liminal region known as the Dark Tides. Despite the Doctor's explicit warnings of an impossible evil lurking within, the expedition boards the derelict craft. What follows is a dark, atmospheric sci-fi horror story as they encounter the vessel's sole survivor, Dr. Vivian Rest (played by Doon Mackichan)—a vindictive, light-dependent holographic ghost with a penchant for murder. Join the team as they break down the episode's gothic aesthetic, the stellar guest performances, and what it means for the Ninth Doctor and Rose to finally head out into deep space!   Dark Tides Production Credits: Writer: Tim Foley Director: Helen Goldwyn Producer: David Richardson Script Editor: Matt Fitton Executive Producers: Jason Haigh-Ellery and Nicholas Briggs Cast: The Doctor: Christopher Eccleston Rose Tyler: Billie Piper Dr. Vivian Rest: Doon Mackichan Sir Cal: Ben Arogundade Holbrook: David Shaw-Parker Mervyn: Sam Stafford   #DoctorWho #BigFinish #NinthDoctor #ChristopherEccleston #RoseTyler #BilliePiper #DarkTides #DoctorWhoAudio #BigFinishProductions #Whovian #DoctorWhoPodcast #PodcastsOfInstagram #SciFiPodcast #AudioDrama #DoonMackichan #HelenGoldwyn #TimFoley #GallifreysMostWanted #TrapOnePodcast #NineAndRose #DoctorWhoGallows #SciFiHorror #GothicSciFi #DoctorWhoFans #DWPA
