The audio quality is pretty bad but I like what your podcast is about.

Great podcast explaining the basics and great for me- someone looking to do some simple investing on the side and who’s inexperienced with diversifying my investments.

The review of options was a bit clunky and many times inaccurate. There was no real clear explanation of Delta and gamma both of which are critical but was trivialized. Following delta is critical in the success of an options trade. Any simple way, delta can be considered a proxy for probability also not exactly. Even more perplexing is the statement from the speakers that options are "risky". Only people who don't know how to trade options think they are risky and anyone who would say that I would not put in the category of a completely educated "advisor". Owning a covered call Is LESS risky than owning stock. It reduces the cost basis for the stock. If the stock price goes up you make money. If the stock price goes nowhere at expiration you make money by keeping the premium of the short call and if the stock price goes down you lose less money then you would have compared to owning only the stock. So to see the snack options are risky it's really just not true. All investments have risks. Not using Options as a tool together with stocks eliminates a very powerful tool from your choices. I think the speakers do a big disservice to overall education of investing by making such statements. The overall feel of the speakers conclusion was that people should stay away from Options. I'm not sure that's really good advice. Options are not for everybody. But if you study hard learn well you can be a powerful tool if used correctly as I noted above.
