🧂 Salt of the Earth - Our Christian Influence in a Dying World 🌎

Jesus said, "Ye are the salt of the earth" (Matthew 5:13). But what did He mean when He described His followers as salt? What does it mean for Christians to be the salt of the earth in a world that is increasingly turning away from God and biblical truth? In this Bible study, we take a deeper look at Christian influence in a dying world and examine what Jesus meant when He said that His followers are the "salt of the earth." Salt was valuable, useful, penetrating, and capable of preserving. In a similar way, Christians are called to have a godly influence on the people, families, communities, and society around us. 📖 Matthew 5:13 (KJV): "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." One of the most important questions we will consider is: What does it mean to be the salt of the earth? Jesus was not simply giving His disciples a religious title. He was describing their responsibility and influence in the world. Christians are called to live differently, speak truth, demonstrate godly character, and point others toward the Lord Jesus Christ. We will also examine the Matthew 5:13 salt of the earth meaning and consider why Jesus immediately warned about salt losing its savour. What happens when believers become so much like the world that their Christian testimony is no longer distinctive? What happens when Christians compromise biblical truth, remain silent when they should speak, or fail to live out the faith they profess?

🔥 FEAR NOT…THAT THE FEAR OF GOD MAY BE BEFORE YOUR FACES 🛡️

What does Moses mean when he tells Israel, "Fear not", and then immediately says that "his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not"? At first, these words may appear contradictory. Why would Moses tell the people not to fear, while also teaching them to fear God? In this Bible study, we examine the powerful distinction between terror and godly fear. When Israel stood before Mount Sinai, they witnessed thunderings, lightning, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. They were overwhelmed by the awesome manifestation of God's presence and stood afar off. But Moses explained God's purpose: "Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not." — Exodus 20:20 God was not teaching Israel to live in hopeless terror of Him. He was teaching them to recognize His holiness, authority, majesty, righteousness, and power so deeply that His presence would influence how they lived. The Hebrew concept behind "fear" — yare' has a broad range of meaning. It can describe fear of danger, dread, trembling, awe, reverence, profound respect, and the holy fear of God. Understanding this range helps us see why biblical fear is not simply being frightened. 🙏 The proper fear of God produces worship. 📖 The fear of God produces obedience. 🛡️ The fear of God helps restrain sin. ❤️ The fear of God can exist alongside love and forgiveness. 🔥 The fear of God can overcome the fear of man. ✝️ The fear of God should influence every area of the Christian life. The goal of this study is not to create an unhealthy terror of God, but to recover a biblical understanding of holy reverence a fear that causes us to take God more seriously.

🌿 The Seven Jewish Feasts: God’s Prophetic Calendar of Redemption 🔥

🌿 THE SEVEN JEWISH FEASTS: GOD'S APPOINTED TIMES AND THE STORY OF REDEMPTION What do the seven Jewish feasts have to do with Jesus Christ and the Christian life? In Leviticus 23, God established seven appointed feasts for Israel. These were not simply Jewish holidays—they were "the feasts of the LORD." When studied alongside the rest of Scripture, these appointed times provide a remarkable biblical picture of redemption, holiness, resurrection, the Gospel harvest, Christ's return, atonement, and God's eternal dwelling with His people. We begin with Genesis 1:14, where God established the heavenly lights "for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." The Hebrew concept of appointed times provides an important foundation for understanding the biblical calendar and the feasts described in Leviticus 23. In this Bible study, we examine each feast in two ways: 🔹 Passover — Israel's physical deliverance through the blood of the lamb, pointing to Christ our Passover and His sacrifice for our sins. 🔹 Unleavened Bread — Israel's separation from Egypt and removal of leaven, reminding Christians of our call to holiness and separation from sin. 🔹 Firstfruits — the first portion of Israel's harvest, pointing to Christ's resurrection as the firstfruits of them that slept. 🔹 Pentecost — the harvest celebration, providing a powerful connection to Acts 2, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel harvest. 🔹 Trumpets — the appointed memorial of blowing trumpets, providing rich biblical imagery concerning proclamation, preparation, resurrection, and the return of Christ. 🔹 Day of Atonement — Israel's sol

⚖️ Lindsay Clancy, Moral Confusion, A Warning From Judges 19 🙏

What happens when a society loses its moral compass? Judges 19 gives us one of the darkest pictures of moral and spiritual collapse in the Bible, repeatedly reminding us that "every man did that which was right in his own eyes." In this study, we examine the disturbing events of Judges 19 and consider how the moral confusion reflected in that passage can help us think carefully about challenges facing American society today. The Lindsay Clancy trial provides a sobering contemporary case study that raises difficult questions about human life, moral responsibility, mental illness, compassion, truth, and accountability. But this study is not simply about criticizing society. It is a challenge to mature Christians: How should we live and serve Jesus Christ when the culture around us becomes increasingly confused about right and wrong? We will consider the importance of standing firmly on God's Word, guarding our own hearts, restoring the fear of God, strengthening our families, practicing compassion without compromising truth, shining as lights in a dark world, and remembering that Jesus Christ—not culture, public opinion, or individual preference—is King. Judges ends with the words: "In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes." But for the Christian, there is a King. Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. The question for us is not merely, "What is right in my eyes?" but "What is right in God's eyes?" 🙏 May this study challenge us to remain faithful to Christ, proclaim His truth, demonstrate His compassion, protect the vulnerable, strengthen our families, and shine His light into the world.

🔥 PRIDE: THE SIN THAT EXALTS SELF ABOVE GOD 🕊️

What does the Bible really say about pride, and how can pride quietly destroy our relationship with God and the people we love most? In this Bible study, we take a deeper look at the sin of pride—a heart problem that can produce arrogance, selfishness, stubbornness, anger, contention, unforgiveness, and spiritual independence from God. Proverbs 15:25 gives us a sobering warning: "The LORD will destroy the house of the proud." This powerful statement should cause every Christian to stop and examine his or her heart. Pride can place our ego on the throne, damage marriages and families, and prevent us from saying, "I was wrong. Please forgive me." But there is hope. God gives grace to the humble. We will examine biblical characteristics of pride and consider practical ways to fight pride in our daily lives: 🙏 Regularly examine our hearts 🙌 Give God the glory for our abilities and accomplishments 🕊️ Practice humility and dependence upon God ✝️ Make Jesus Christ our example of humility John 15:5 reminds us: "...without me ye can do nothing." The battle against pride is ultimately a battle over who sits on the throne of our hearts. Pride exalts self, but humility exalts Christ. As we yield ourselves to God, His grace works within us, giving us both the desire and the ability to do His will. 💧 God's grace flows to the low places. Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and allow His grace to transform our hearts, our marriages, our families, and our service for Christ.
